Since its founding in 1870, Syracuse University has thoughtfully built a rich and diverse art collection. Today, the Syracuse University Art Museum stewards more than 45,000 objects spanning cultures, time periods, and media. The collection continues to grow each year through generous gifts, strategic purchases, and meaningful bequests.
