Welcome to the Syracuse University Art Museum’s online collection database. The Museum cares for the University’s collection of art, which began in 1870. Numbering over 45,000 objects, our holdings span 4,000 years and are global in geographic scope.
You can use the database to support your research or develop your interest in art by searching for specific artists, artworks, or keywords. You may also click any image below to browse highlights from our collection.
As the collection continues to grow, so does this database. Our team continually creates, reviews, and updates records based on current and ongoing research. Records may change as we add new and missing data, revise incorrect information, and remove outdated language that may be considered offensive, discriminatory, or insensitive.
The Museum welcomes your feedback, questions, and suggestions for ways in which we can improve our database records. Please contact us at suartcollections@syr.edu.
