Market In A War: Women mat sellers are shown in front of a bombed-out shop. It took just 24 hours to destroy this Mekong Delta community one year ago. A United States Army major at the time said the city “had to be destroyed to be saved” from a horde of Viet Cong attacking in the Tet offensive. The saving has come slowly.
