  • Firebase Bronco Under Attack: U.S. Cavalrymen, in the process of packing and dismantling their fortifications, run for cover at Fire Support Base Bronco as North Vietnamese mortar fire comes in. The attack came as the Americans were getting ready to pull out of the base, which is 17 miles inside the north section of Cambodia’s “fish hook” section. Several GIs were injured in the attack, June 25, 1970
