Alternate Titles
  • Leaving the Scene- [African American] Student James H. Meredith leaves the University of Mississippi cafeteria tonight, scene of recent demonstrations against him. The nightly demonstrations have followed Meredith's statement that he will not return to Ole Miss next semester unless "harrassment" stops. A student at the University was expelled today for taking part in a demonstration but university officials have blamed Meredith's statement with bringing on student agitation.
